The parking area on Oak Street just east of Mason Street will close for three days next week as the City of Fort Collins Streets Department repaves the area.
The lot will close Monday, June 26, and is expected to reopen after work is complete on Wednesday, June 28, weather permitting. Businesses in the area are accessible from their adjoining sidewalks.
This construction is part of a larger project on Mason Street from Maple Street to University Avenue in which the entire street will undergo concrete and asphalt work.
Crews have been working on sidewalks, curbs, and other similar areas of Mason Street in preparation for more intensive work later this summer. This larger phase of work will begin once the City and the BNSF Railway finalize an agreement for work in the area and will result in full closures and a rerouting of Transfort services.
Drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists should continue to use caution in the work zone.
More information about the Oak Street work and the larger Mason Street project is available at www.fcgov.com/mason2023.
