The City of Fort Collins Forestry Division will perform large-scale tree pruning along northbound College Avenue between Magnolia Street and Olive Street on Tuesday, June 13 from approximately 5-11 a.m.

Seventeen trees will be pruned to remove large, dead tree limbs for public safety and to remove obstructions impacting traffic signals. The eastern lane of northbound College Avenue, between Magnolia Street and Olive Street, will be closed while work is being performed. Due to the scope and scale of the tree pruning, a private contractor, along with forestry crew members, will be on-site to ensure project safety and efficiency.

Routine pruning and tree removal are important to maintain public safety, as well as the health of the urban forest. The tree pruning project is dependent on favorable conditions; changes may occur due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
