Brighton results of CARA Basketball Skills Challenge

Over 35 participants from the Brighton area participated in the Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics (CARA) Basketball Skills Challenge Competition local round hosted by the Brighton Recreation Sports Department on Saturday, Dec.10. Seven youth players have captured honors in the CARA Basketball Skills Challenge local round and will advance to the Sectionals. The following participants earned first place honors in their respective age groups.

Boys:

10-11        Emiliano Diaz             1st                        

12-13        Lan Dominguez          1st        

Girls:

8-9            Sadie Williams          1st                        

10-11        Jazmin Green            1st                        

12-13        Giuliana Fusetti         1st                  

These top contestants (listed above) will move on to Sectionals in February 2023. Winners of the Sectional will then compete at the State Competition.  More details will be available in the coming month. 


The CARA Basketball Skills Challenge is a basketball competition that allows youngsters to showcase their talents in dribbling, passing, and shooting. It is a youth program of the Colorado Parks & Recreation Association.
