Larimer County issued the following announcement on Oct. 25.
Due to inclement weather conditions, all City of Fort Collins buildings and facilities that are currently open to the public will delay opening until 10:00 a.m. October 26. This delay applies to all City recreational and cultural facilities and programs.
Critical services, such as fire and police will continue as usual. Transfort buses will continue to operate under their current schedule.
The City of Fort Collins is on accident alert. Residents are encouraged to stay off the roads and to drive only in the case of an emergency. Having fewer vehicles on the road allows the snow clearing crews working on the streets to do their jobs more quickly and safely and keeps the roads open for emergency vehicle access.
