Former Fossil Ridge High School standout McKenna James helped lead the CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves to a 4-3 victory over the Chadron State Eagles in an NCAA Division II softball matchup at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22.
The matchup was hosted at CSC Softball Field and marked the teams’ fourth meeting this season. Earlier the same day, the ThunderWolves were defeated 17-6 by the Eagles.
James tallied four hits in five at-bats, scored three runs, drove in three more and struck out once.
The ThunderWolves will next take the field on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 12 p.m. at Rawlings Softball Complex, facing the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets.
