The Colorado State Rams women’s volleyball team secured a win against the Nevada Wolf Pack on Saturday at Virginia Street Gym in Reno, Nevada. The match ended with Colorado State taking three sets to one, with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-20, and 25-21.
Freshman Halle Jameson led the Rams early in the match, recording nine kills in the first set. The team managed a perfect side out rate in the final five points of that set to take an initial lead. Nevada responded by winning the second set, narrowly outhitting Colorado State.
In the third set, middle blocker Brenna Rowland contributed seven kills without errors on ten attempts. Setter Erin Debiec had a four-point service run that helped maintain their advantage throughout the set.
Eve Wilson was key in securing victory for Colorado State in the fourth set, finishing with 16 kills and a .433 hitting percentage. Libero Aine Doty delivered a five-point service run during this period and led defensive efforts as Nevada was held to its lowest hitting percentage of the day at .051. Doty finished with 11 digs.
Jameson totaled 14 kills with a .286 hitting percentage for the match. Wilson also recorded five block assists.
Looking ahead, Colorado State will return home for two matches during week nine of conference play: they will face Air Force next Thursday at 7 p.m., followed by Wyoming Cowgirls on Saturday at noon. Both matches are scheduled at Moby Arena.
