Colorado State University setter Erin Debiec has been named the Old Trapper Mountain West Freshman of the Week for the second time this season. The recognition comes after Colorado State secured two road victories, which confirmed their place in the upcoming Mountain West Tournament as they aim to defend last year’s title.
During the week, Debiec led her team with 82 assists, averaging 10.25 per set. Under her direction, Colorado State posted a .289 hitting percentage, while their opponents hit .180. Debiec also contributed five kills from the front row and recorded a .343 hitting percentage during the matches.
In addition to her offensive contributions, Debiec added six blocks and collected 22 digs over two matches. She achieved her 12th double-double of the season against UNLV by recording 43 assists and leading the defense with 16 digs.
The Rams will return home for conference play on Thursday against Grand Canyon at 6:00 p.m., marking their first home match versus that opponent. They will conclude conference play against New Mexico on Saturday at Moby Arena at 1:00 p.m.
