The Colorado State Rams women’s volleyball team will compete as the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Mountain West Championship Tournament, which begins with their semi-final match on Friday, November 28 at 5 p.m. Mountain Time. The tournament is hosted by UNLV at the Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Rams’ first opponent will be determined by the outcome of the quarterfinal between No. 3 Wyoming Cowgirls and No. 6 San Diego State Aztecs, scheduled for Wednesday, November 26. Other teams participating include top-seeded Utah State Aggies, No. 4 Boise State Broncos, and No. 5 Grand Canyon Lopes.

Colorado State finished the regular season with a 20-8 overall record and a conference record of 14-4. Head coach Emily Kohan leads a squad that includes Eve Wilson, Halle Jameson, Erin Debiec, and Maria Brun—all of whom were named to the Mountain West All-Conference team earlier this week.

This year marks Colorado State’s final season in the Mountain West before joining the PAC-12 conference next year. The Rams aim to secure consecutive tournament championships as they prepare for this transition.

During regular season play, Colorado State split matches with Wyoming (1-1) and won its only meeting against San Diego State (1-0). Depending on quarterfinal results, they will face one of these teams in the semi-final round.

On the opposite side of the bracket, Utah State remains undefeated in conference play and awaits either Boise State or Grand Canyon after their own quarterfinal matchup. Against these potential opponents during regular season play, Colorado State went winless against Utah State (0-2), split games with Boise State (1-1), and won both contests against Grand Canyon (2-0).
