The Colorado State Rams women’s volleyball team lost to Boise State in a four-set match on Saturday at Bronco Gym in Boise, Idaho. The Rams managed to win the second set but ultimately fell with scores of 25-22, 19-25, 25-23, and 25-22.
After dropping the first set 25-22, Colorado State responded by taking the second set 25-19. The team’s offensive performance peaked during this set with a .333 hitting efficiency. However, they were unable to surpass a .300 hitting percentage in any of the other sets.
The third and fourth sets were closely contested, each featuring 11 tie scores. Despite the back-and-forth play, late runs by Boise State secured their victory.
Freshman Halle Jameson led Colorado State with 19 kills and also contributed a team-high 17 digs. Maria Brun and Eve Wilson each added 13 kills. On defense, Kekua Richards recorded five blocks.
