Colorado State University’s women’s volleyball team secured a 3-1 victory over UNLV in Las Vegas, overcoming an initial setback to win the next three sets. The match scores were 23-25, 25-17, 25-22, and 25-19.
After losing the first set without holding a lead, Colorado State responded by controlling the second set from start to finish. Halle Jameson led the offense with 13 kills in that set.
Erin Debiec reached a career milestone during the match, recording her 1,000th career assist after tallying 28 assists by the end of the second set. Debiec finished with a total of 43 assists and added 16 digs for her twelfth double-double of the season.
The third set was closely contested, featuring six lead changes. Two late kills by Jameson and a key block from Brenna Rowland at set point helped Colorado State take control of the match.
In the fourth and final set, Kennedy Wilson led Colorado State’s offense with 15 kills and ended with a .481 hitting percentage. Wilson contributed significantly to the team’s overall performance, scoring 18 out of their total 80 points.
Maria Brun also made an impact with double-digit kills and two blocks as Colorado State achieved a .301 hitting percentage as a team. Karsyn Fetzer led defensively with 17 digs while Debiec added another strong performance on defense.
